August 3: Invisible progress
Yesterday's live was a good reminder that art journaling doesn't always go the way you picture it — and that's half the fun.

I dove straight into play mode and pulled out an old drafting tool (one of those pieces that instantly takes me back to pre-computer graphic design days) to use as a watercolor mask. Total nostalgia trip. But here's the twist: the masking fluid I used was basically invisible on camera. If you watched live, you probably saw me "painting" with what looked like thin air — I promise something was actually happening on the page!

That's the beauty of working live and unscripted — you get the real process, mess-ups and all.
