Day 8
July 30: Overthinking?
Still hunting for a live time that actually works — the honest truth is my creative flow tends to kick in after midnight Eastern, which makes it tricky to land on a time that overlaps with everyone else's schedule too. I'm working on it. In the meantime, if replays are more your speed, that's completely fine — no pressure to catch me live. Today's session was all about getting clear on colors for my Mexican embroidered blouse yoke. I'm trying not to overthink this one, though I think I already jumped that shark. I've got a huge stash of floss collected over the years, and if I need anything else, my local creative reuse thrift store has an insane selection to dig through.

The moth stickers I have been working onI am mostly sharing them because  I promised Maxine I would share the file I was working on today during the virtual studio in Loom Notes. But I am considering using this or a different bug as a focal point in the yoke design.

Download and print

How to save & print your files:
  1. Right-click  (or control click for mac, press and hold on mobile) on the image and choose "Save Image As" (or "Download Image").
  2. Save it to a folder you'll remember — like "Day 1 Journal Files."
  3. Open the saved JPEG and print at 100% / actual size (not "fit to page") so nothing gets cropped or stretched.
  4. Print on whatever paper you're testing today — plain, cardstock, watercolor, whatever's on hand.

Tip: if the image opens directly instead of downloading, just right-click anywhere on it for the save option.
