July 29: Mumbling over coffee and paint
It's no secret — I am not a morning person. Coffee is non-negotiable before 11am functioning happens. And honestly? I kind of love art journaling in bed.
But these days I'm still in Asheville, waiting on my AC to get fixed, working with supplies packed for a week away — not three. What feels like MacGyver-ing my art journal practice is really just me missing my water-soluble crayons and my ecotank printer. Turns out "working with what I have" has a learning curve even for me.
Today I made art while waiting for the caffeine to kick in. I painted things. I glued bits. And somewhere in there, I slowly woke up.
