Yesterday's session can be summed up in two words: that's interesting. Maybe total surrender is more like it. I'd planned to circle back to doodling faces, but I got downstairs and found yesterday's page — drawn in masking fluid — already dry and waiting. So, okay. Sure. Let's do that instead.

The paint and paper had a mind of their own. I dropped in juicy washes of bright color, let some go muddy, let some just barely tint the rinse water. My only goal was to keep messing with it until it looked good — no plan beyond that. I'm excited to see how it all dried when I get back to it today.
I also tried turning one of my gel-print pages into an envelope — because why not let the scraps become something too.

This is the part of the challenge nobody warns you about: sometimes the "plan" gets overridden by whatever's sitting there wet on the table, and that's not a failure of discipline. That's just how the work actually works.
